Your vault stays yours.

Logins, notes, keys and attachments sync with your chosen Vaultwarden or Bitwarden server. Triwarden encrypts and decrypts vault contents on your Mac. Triwarden does not host your vault.

An encrypted local cache, Keychain items for unlock, sessions and (if you register) your license, plus settings in standard macOS preferences. That keeps the app working offline and with Touch ID — not for analytics.

When you activate a purchased license key on a Mac, Triwarden sends the key and a random installation identifier to Lemon Squeezy. After successful activation, it stores the license locally without recurring license checks. Registering the key again, including on another Mac, makes another activation request. Offline-format keys are verified locally.

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy under its Privacy Policy.

When updates are enabled, Sparkle may check GitHub for a newer build. That request does not include vault data. GitHub’s own policy: GitHub Privacy Statement.

The marketing site is static. It may fetch public GitHub star and release metadata (for download size). It loads webfonts from Google Fonts (Google Privacy Policy). Your light/dark theme choice is stored in the browser’s localStorage only. We don’t run advertising or third-party tracking pixels on these pages.

Password-breach checks contact Have I Been Pwned’s Pwned Passwords service with the first five characters of a SHA-1 password hash, not the password or its full hash. Two-step-login information can be downloaded from 2FA Directory. Opening a change-password link may query the saved site to locate its password-change page.

When website icons are enabled, requested domain names are sent to your account’s configured icon service (Vaultwarden or Bitwarden). These requests do not include item passwords.
